From Monster Management… their writers are doing better, more useful stuff these days than a couple of years ago. Four good ideas I’m going to pursue.

So I’m seeing it. Glen switched. Robert switched. People are switching all over.

Now, there’s a security professional who switched since he was tired of fighting the Windows evils. After a month, he’s apparently even more convinced than before. I’ve pushed Macs for my family for the longest time… my mother, mother-in-law, and wife all have them. Wait, why do the girls get the toys?

So I’m trying to convince myself (and my budget) that it is a good idea to get a Mac. WTGBRFDT? I’m one of the rare professional Windows users who doesn’t believe in AV or antispyware tools, just a good firewall, and doesn’t get infected. That’s just practice and thought - anyone could do it, but do you really want to be second-guessing every move on your computer?

Hm. Well, maybe I can get a hand-me-down sometime…

Technology Review has an interesting series on Free Culture (yes, the capitals are correct) by Lessig and Epstein (plus rebuttal by Lessig). Funny thing is, Lessig doesn’t really rebut - he instead agrees. I find myself in the same situation where I agree with both writers…
